Hi Adrian Usually everyone arrives gradually throughout the day and we all then have dinner around 7.30. There is no fixed itinery as such. I will provide a selection of suggested routes and places of interest. Everyone is then free to follow me each day or do their own thing. Many of the regulars are very familiar with the area as we have used this venue I guess about 8 times. As there are quite a few first time Highlanders this time, I do have my preferred routes in mind. Generally we will see what the weather is like on the day so if it makes sense to go east or west to where the weather is better then we tend to do that. The forecast doesn't seem bad so fingers crossed on that. (we've usually been lucky).

FRIDAY
As mentioned in the post above we usually all just assemble at the hotel throughout the day. However those of us who are local have traditionally travelled up together by a more scenic route (no that's wrong it's all scenic!) I mean a less direct route using more twisty roads through the beautiful countryside and smaller towns of Perthshire. If anyone wants to do this then let me know and I will arrange to do so. We can either set off from Stirling or Kincardine or South Queensferry.
Warning! The A9 from Dunblane to Inverness is now controlled with average speed cameras for its full length. I have not driven it since these were installed but please take care not to get caught out. Its a tricky road at the best of times, hence this new safety initiative, but with its varying speed limits and switching between dual and single carriageway I can see this needs another level of concentration.
