Johnp, I think it must be your age - maybe too much time on your hands Just follow the one in front. Thanks to all who helped to devise these uncomplicated routeS. Now ..................... back to the Garmin. ;D Tony

Sadly I won't be getting out of work until 1430hrs at the earliest, so probably won't be able to join in any run up. We'll meet up with you all at the bar I think!

We will be leaving Cumbernauld around 1:30pm. Looks like we will all be leaving at different times and need to catch up at the hotel but if anybody is round and about on the way up look out for us

Anne and I intend to meet the Friday nighters on the a.m. run on Saturday morning . I have chosen where the A889 meets the A86 to join the rest as this cuts my journey down considerably So please don't wait at Nethybridge for the Nutcases to arrive Would I be right in expecting to see the lead car at about 11 ish at my rendevouz point

Just back from a +700 mile recce for the European Event of the Year 2013 staying in Aviemore and I am pleased to tell you all there was snow on Friday so the mountains are all white capped.
Hope you get the weather we had on Saturday and Sunday, blue skies and wall to wall sunshine so the scenery was just superb and the roads quiet.
But just watch those rear windows it was freezing first thing!

We're planning to take a half day on Friday, just a thought anyone want to meet at the Red Deer at Cumbernauld at 1400 for the run north?

Neil - our plans seem to be changing by the hour due to work commitments! We will try to be there but if we are not there for 1400 hours don't wait for us we'll either catch you up or see you at the hotel.

Previusly I used a programme called TYRE. Bikers use it but I found it a lot of work and not a simple transfer of data. I ended up sitting in front of the PC with my Sat Nav (Garmin). I followed the routs on the PC and creating multi stops in the Sat Nav. Some Sat Navs allow a limited number of multi stops so it was better to save individual small routes and call them Sat am, Sun am.

Iain and Jayne tried that last year and nearly followed a certain blue TF all the way to East Kilbride on the Sunday when they should have been on the road to Mallaig

Jim, I hope all is well with you both and its just a case of "will Bolton be relegated this year" jitters.
Take care

Hi Folks
It is with a heavy heart we have had to make the decision this morning not to come up to the highlander this weekend.
We were planning to travel up in convoy with John and Lynn Ponting to Edinburgh last night and on to you today but on Wednesday afternoon we had a call from my mother’s nursing home saying she was going downhill quickly. We have been at her bedside since then but she is still holding on.
We drove up to Peterborough last night with the view of doing a long haul directly up to Nethybridge today but a restless night has left me with the decision that we must remain relatively local for the weekend and see what transpires.
My apologies for the late notice of the cancellation, I have emailed the hotel to advise them.
Have a great weekend everybody, I look forward to 2013 and next year’s highlander
Best regards all
Stu dickens
