Having been in Glasgow for a year now and just about getting to grips with the new language and pot holes, I joined the Glasgow MG Owners club who told me about your club. I have owned my 2000 MGF from new and have just one my first MGOC Glasgow run. I am looking forward to attending a MGFreedom run in the near future. As i dont know one end of a tool box from the other can anyone recommend somewhere in Glasgow that can service my F?

Hi there matey, welcome to MGFreedom. Hope to catch up with you soon at one of our pub meets or runs.
There are a couple of highly recommended garages in or near Glasgow - Paul McFadden in Motherwell (01698 254141) postcode ML1 1QF. A bit further out but a great place to visit is Dreadnought in Callander, home of the Luti family and their stable of racing MGs (01877 331099) postcode FK17 8LE

Hi and welcome I'm not sure which part of Glasgow you are in but a couple of MG garages to try in Glasgow are - ROVER & MG REPAIR CENTRE, 0141 429 4910 (Gorbals Area) ROVER FITTING CENTRE, (MGF CENTRE) 654 Duke St, 0141 556 4042 or 0141 550 3879 I have never used the above garages so can't recommend them or speak for them although I have used Paul McFadden a few times before.

Hi Mark,
Glad you found your way to the MGFreedom Board which is without doubt the best MGF/TF forum in existence! It was nice to meet you yesterday and I hope you enjoyed the run and the good company afterwards (even if the fish and chips was not great).
Like Jamie I would also recommend Dreadnought in Callander who are excellent but not especially cheap, however they do an excellent job so it is well worth it. A less expensive choice would be Ross Autos, 144 Crowhill Road, Bishopbriggs G64 1XP. I have used them recently for 'my real car' and found them to be really nice people as well as very reliable and cheap. The place that Glenn (BULLITT) suggested may also be worth a try as it is very handy for you
See you at the next pub meeting at the Red Deer, or MGOC run whichever is sooner.
Tom

Well while we're at it... I'm mostly English too as was born in Yorkshire, but have lived in Scotland most of my life apart from a ten-year sojourn in the Midlands. I speak all Scottish-like though. Tina is also English, wiv a proppa accent an' all that, innit.
