Hello folks. Glad to see there is a following for the MGF. I have just joined the forum today. I used to own an MGF as my only car many years ago, V720 FSD. I loved it and took it on an epic 9 country tour of Europe back in the early 2000s as well as tours of the Hebrides etc. Sadly it was written off back in 2006, however I have just been on a car checker site and noticed its MOT only ran out in May 2013 so it looks like someone must have rebuilt it. I wonder if it was an enthusiast? I still have mountains of paperwork for the car. Does anyone know the car?
Anyway, I am looking to buy an F Again as I want a classic and remember my F being modern to drive but with those beautiful classic looks so I think an F would fit the bill. What I would like would be either one of the very first and N reg or so or a late model Autumn '99 onwards (like my last car with the body coloured window surround). Favourite colours are white and red although open to anything really. I am having a look at a few on various web sites but I would prefer to buy from a true enthusiast so please let me know if anyone has a car for sale. I am looking forward to getting back in an F again and hopefully see some of you at an event. Cheers Paul

Welcome to the forum Paul...
Have you considered a 'TF'? Not so problamatic on the suspension front.......

Hi. Thanks for the welcomes.
I have considered a TF as i am sure the revised suspension is better but i dont like the sharper nose and staighter side skirts. I think MG were spot on with the later MGFs in terms of looks. I assume the front bumpers are not interchangeable? My aim is to spend a bit more snd get a well sorted MGF either from an enthusiast or trusted dealer so i hope a well cared for car wont give too much trouble.
Are there any good specialists up here on Scotland to buy from? Where do members buy their cars? Any buying advice is much appreciated.
Regards
Paul
