Is it possible to swap suspension on my f for suspension on a tf and what would it involve if anyone has any idea Cheers Yes I've heard it can be done. It would be a big job because the f and TF have completely different systems. You'll go form a nice comfy f to a firm bordering on uncomfortable ride unless you opt for late Tf shockers or fit the VHS system.

If you are concerned about the suspension giving up on your MGF, there is a company called Suplex who make a complete replacement system. I don't think it is all that cheap but it would make the car future-proof while retaining the handling and ride of the MGF. The link is www.mgcc.se/uploads/text5571.pdf

It would be easier and I suspect cheaper to just changed to a TF. Suspension on TF pre 2005 MY is not to everyone's liking (certainly I couldn't live with it). The best mod would be to change to a TF steering rack. Steering on TF is much better but unless you opt for an VHS suspension kit a properly sorted F hydro gas system is the best.

Think your right supaflex kit out of my price range It was just an idea I had to swap over the suspension but I think I will stick with the mgf and concentrate on getting it back on the road for the time being if this weather ever settles down Cheers for the input guys it's appreciated

I've got spare subframe so for the TF if you ever want to make the switch. They would need cleaned up and painted or powder coated for protection. they have useable suspension attached but refurbishment of components wouldn't go amiss.

I don't come on here often enough, so I've only just seen this. I paid to have this done about 8 years ago (I had reasonably good reasons for doing so at the time!), and I'm very pleased with the result. That'll be partly down to also getting the Bistein 'Comfort(!)' dampers as well. The worst part of the job would be getting the old stuff off, as all the bolts will probably be well rusted - mine were when they were 12 years old! Easiest and cheapest to find a decent TF135 and buy the Bilsteins for it.
