To whom it may help, here are couple of garages based in Glasgow. Gorbals area. Duke St. I cant speak for them, as I haven't used them for any work on my cars, but I have bought a couple of parts from the Duke St garage.

This place in Coatbridge (just off M8) might be of interest to members. I will be contacting them for a price to sort the usual MG driver seat wear and tear. www.trimsandthings.com/index.html

I've been given a recommendation for a Glasgow-based mobile mechanic called Mark.
He has experience with TFs, replacing head gaskets, timing belts, water pumps alternators, and prices seem good (timing belt, water pump and auto tensioner for £140).
I've got in touch to see what other experience he has, but for now I've added him to the list above. A good mobile mechanic who knows our cars is hard to find, so it would be great to hear some more feedback.

Yes the usual problem (on the ZT) I didnt go to them, I ended up fittiing a complete interior for only £80, possibly chaeper than getting one seat repaired!

Added a new mobile mechanic, Darren Toes, from Carlisle. Some of you may recognise him as "luckymarine" from other F/TF forums. I've met him on a few runs, and he certainly knows his stuff.

Ive had my wheels refurbed by CHAMELEON 0141 647 8171 since the coating started to give way. It turns out, the previous Powdercoateds covered the existing coat without stripping the wheels back to bare metal Poor show from Powdertec Just out the oven and cooling down. Scooby wheels, in gold of course. Very happy with the CHAMELEON work. £180 for four wheels, same day service. www.chameleonmetalcoatings.co.uk/

Hi everyone, I tried to get Mark the mobile mechanic down to Ayr to install my newly acquired Mike Satur hoops and windstop and to do a diagnostic on my TF. He arranged to come down for 11.00am on Monday 31st March. Not only did he not turn up, he didn't bother to txt or phone to say he wasn't coming. Not impressed by that I'm afraid.

This is the Ultimate kit as fitted to my TF recently and will report back on its success . As you will see in my post , it really was a doddle to fit .
