Aw well looks like clutch must be done after all Tried to free off the arm and after soaking with spray grease and penetrating oil yesterday and today I thought I would try to work it loose After about half n hour it began to move great (I thought ) but then it just seemed to move too freely and then s**t it's snapped right off so that's it been decided for me aaarrrgggghhh
Is there a guide on the forum for dropping engine and box on the drive rather than on a ramp Cheers

That was a bit extreme....never heard of that one before....
Sorry to hear that it ended up like that.......there isn't a how to on this forum regarding clutch removal but, there may be one in the .org website..........
CJJ on there usually posts good how to's on it.....as to doing a change whilst in situe, I know it can be done but, how it IS done, i've no idea.....sorry...
Keep us posted on the outcome though....am interested....

+1 on CJJ and his guides. I am in the middle of dropping my engine and gearbox on the drive following his guides. Waiting for a part before completing the deed.A word of warning. The bolts that mount the front of the rear subframe to the body will almost certainly break and the stubs will need drilled out. I managed to get 1 out of 4 out intact today despite using loads of heat and plus gas. The last time I did it I didn't manage 1 complete bolt!
you can buy a replacement clutch arm that has a grease point to prevent seizing in future.

Cheers guys I found the guide so I will be getting started as soon as I gather all that I need Buster I think it's probably because it had been lying seized for so long
