Hi there, Just looking at your subframe thread, I'm about to change front and rear on my "F" and would appreciate any pointers at all as I will be doing it at home in the garage. Did you have a lot of trouble removing the mounting bolts? and is it a long job?, I'm scared. Regards, Keith.

Hi mate Sorry I never got back to you sooner been away. The front bolts on the rear subframe were a bandit of a job snapped a couple and had to re tap them took me a couple of days but I was outside so it was more the weather that held me up . All in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be . I had never tackled such a big job and when it was done I thought why was I so worried about it . Good luck and don't hesitate to message me if your stuck

Thanks for the pointers, Been away myself and just back this afternoon, My plan is to do the front one first to get a feel for it as that was actually the one that it failed its MOT on but the mechanic advised met to get them both as the rear one is poor also. i aquired them both second hand and ive been busy de-rusting, protecting, and painting them, I just need a kick up the backside now to get started, Thanks again, Keith.
