I actually went on to E of Bay to get Cap Headed Allen bolts, high tensile grade 12.9.......
They are currently on my front subframe....and getting them for the rear....
OEM from rimmers are ok but you'll end up with the same seized, rusted issues you have currently......

Got 2 of the broken ones drilled and tapped today then used a stepped drill bit and cut a hole on the slope that will let me get a socket in to tighten a nut on the bolt then I will weld a plate over it bot in the meantime I've put a grommet in it to stop water ingress Just need to get the parts ordered then it's rebuild time For now I am cleaning up the subframe ready for a coat of black paint

What size of grommet did you use? I'm currently drilling out 3 of the bolts and I'm slightly off centre. I'm planning to use a stepped drill to tidy it up and I am prepared to go a size up (m10 I think) but wondered about sizing and availability in case I need a plan c.

I've been trapped in other duties and the car is lying neglected right now. I had no stepped bits but these were delivered recently and I will have a go tomorrow I hope. I have some helicoil kits just in case but I'm hoping to manage without needing them. Where do you live? I'm in helensburgh. If I'm stuck and you are game I might need some help. Unfortunately I need to go south on Monday and won't be back to Thursday or Friday. I'm hoping to make progress before it is far too cold.
