As I got away with patching up my exhaust downpipe and flexy for MOT (Pass, you know!!!), decided the time was right to have a go and change it. So, car up on ramps, hacked away at the flexy, removing it entirely and then encountered our first problem (our, being me and Mr Mitch). the studs attaching downpipe to manifold (6 in number) were very rusty and malleable so, decision was taken to take both out in one go. starting with having to remove some of the excess downpipe......I took a break to let Mr Mitch have a go.... when your preparing for a house move, the inevitable happens........... and back to business again...... And we thought we were smart and it would come out in one go......NOT!!!! it jammed, so a bit more of bottom, and removal of engine top cover the, viola!!! and the offending piece.... needless to say, apart from the sherman tank appeal heard at the Highlander and lack of power, I can now appreciate the sweet tone of the TT and a bit more oomph!!! thanks again Mr Mitch.....
